Well, we really are back in Indiana. Six inches of snow in our yard, another 2 - 4 inches on its way. This is more snow than we saw in our whole 5 1/2 years in Nashville! Aidan loves to play in it. I'm glad he's here to give me good perspective and not grumble and complain.
It's early and I need to get to work, but a quick update on Laney. She's starting some imaginative play! At school she is pushing the baby buggy and rocking the baby in the crib. She plays with Aidan's train (runs it along the track) and Aidan gets very frustrated, as she knocks everything over when she does it. (We call her "Laneyzilla" for fun.) She has also started to run a car or tractor appropriately on the ground. (Before, she we just pick them up and look at them.) She been picking up a ball lately and throwing it, but we haven't gotten her to engage in a game of turn taking with it yet. This is her last week of school, then she's off for Christmas break. She's also entering her last two weeks of therapy through First Steps. Our transition meeting with the school system is this Friday (Dec 16th). Please pray that goes well.
We are going to be looking into music therapy for her, as she really seems to respond to music. There's a program at the local university where they pair a student with a child (for free!). We hope to get her enrolled in that starting in January (if she's selected.)
That's about all from here. Trying to get all the Christmas shopping done and enjoying all the light displays. Hope all is well with you! Thanks again for your prayers. They are appreciated.
Cracking up!
